RT3090 wireless chipset

Hi Guys, 

Need some light here: 
I compiled from source the drivers RT3090 on my Eeepc 1001HA. I used
gnome network manager and wicd to try to connect to my router Cisco but
to no avail. I have just spent the whole day trying to sort it out. It
seems that it is a recurring bug but some have managed some workaround
(not me :). The symptom seems no connection to a network using WPA/WPA2
with TKIP and/or AES encryption. I did try without the encryption as
well but to no avail. I could connect at the beginning just for a few
minutes but now it is all gone. Sometimes I am just connected to the
router with no internet access, and sometimes I can't even connect to
the router. The bug has been recognized and I would believe is being
dealt with, but any of you guys had any luck making that chipset work in
10.0.4 ?
