Hi,

the install was completed and everything should have been created but I
don't get in a prompt in order to verify that!

Anyway, I found following:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1316079

----------------
Originally I was having trouble just running the Live Cd as it would always
Kernel Panic before ever getting to the Desktop environment.

I discovered that by disabling the wireless card in the BIOS the Live CD
works just fine. It has no trouble proceeding with the installation in this
state as well.
----------------

I did exactly that (as described above) and indeed the live CD worked fine.

Now I have to work on WLAN issue!

Thanks
