Shared folder, can't write to it.

Setup:
Fileserver: Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit.
Client: WinXP SP3 32 bit

	On the Ubuntu box, right-clicked the Shared folder, went into Sharing 
Options, enabled sharing. Left the two check boxes (Aloow others to 
create & delete and Guest Access) blank.
	On the WinXP box, copied stuff off fine. When I went to add a file to 
it, get an access denied message (disk full or write protected).
	I installed SWAT to see if I could get it going, no luck. Removed SWAT, 
and now I see that the guest access option is no longer available.

	What am I missing?
