No volume control in 10.04?

Just upgraded my box. All went pretty smoothly & everything seems to
work, with one small exception so far.

My volume control has disappeared.

It's not in the panel, and it's not in the list of available things I
can add to the panel.

I've installed GNOME ALSA Mixer as a standby but it was a noisy few
minutes while I searched!

Anyone else finding this?

My sound card, FWIW, is a Creative Titanium.
