     Hi Colin I added a new user Colin Franks and gave Colin a password. 
Rebooted and was asked to select between Karl Larsen and Colin Franks. I 
selected Colin and it took my password and booted up.
I reboot and selected Karl Larsen and that worked.

     I think you have a bug in your system...Colin
