Netbook launcher fonts in 10.04 very dark

I've installed Lucid on my Thinkpad X-31, dual-booting with Mint 7 & WinXP.

It works & it's rather quicker than before, especially the graphics. I
also tried the Netbook Remix launcher. It too works way better than it
did in 9.04 (where it was unusably slow).

The only snag is, all the fonts are black, which on a dark purple
background is very hard to read!

I am not sure if this is normal for the netbook remix. Other colours
look OK, fonts in Firefox etc. have their normal colours - it's just
all the buttons & icon labels in the launcher.

I've tried changing to the lighter Radiance theme. No difference.
