I don't care if file sizes are displayed in base 2 or base 10. But it is
important to know the correct prefix [1, 2]. Then I can do the math if
necessary. How many bytes is the capacity of a 1.44 MB floppy?

BTW: Shouldn't this discussion be on sounder [3]?
