Probably I can help you, because I do manage to play videos at the
website indicated by you. About half a year ago, I found useful Linux
instructions via the website of the Dutch television, which has been
forced to look beyond Windows by an effective open source lobby
:-).... Ever since I followed these instructions, I have no problems
any more at online television and radio stations.

FIREFOX WEB BROWSER
The Linux multimedia stuff I manage to get started with, works
together with Firefox.

CHOOSE "MOONLIGHT" OR "VLC".
Choose one of the media players below:
* moonlight 2.0 in combination with "Adobe Flash Player"
* VLC in combination with the Firefox add-on "MediaplayerConnectivity".

I have chosen VLC together with "MediaplayerConnectivity". This
combination allows me to play videos at several websites. So, my
instructions below refer to that combination.
So, first add the add-on "MediaPlayerConnectivity" to Firefox: tools>
add-ons>get add-ons.
Than, select for all the video stuff VLC as media player:
tools>MediaPlayerConnectivity>Configure.
You will see a list of video variants. You can select for each variant
VLC via the following URL at your system:
/usr/bin/X11/vlc
By doing so, also your needs for e.g. "Windows" media, "Quick Time
Player" stuff and several other video formats will be covered.

You can simply download and install VLC from the regular repository.
See for exact Ubuntu and Kubuntu instructions this page:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-ubuntu.html

After following all the instructions specified in this message,
everything should work fine.

I hope I have helped you enough. I wish you a good time in the last
10? days on the way to Pesach.

Respectfully Yours,

Bas.
