[lucid] update-notifier 99 breaks ubuntu-desktop

Had you been looking at your Terminal output (not blaming you/accusing
you/...), you would have wondered, like me, what a reboot would lead
to given the errors that were being displayed (you can see them in
/var/log/apt/term.log). Since this is alpha/beta, I just rebooted and

Anyway, the NoOp posted a link to a bug report that clarified the
problem and gave a solution.
/usr/share/applications/gnome-panel.desktop
is beginning with
X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gnome-panel-2.0
instead of
[Desktop Entry]
and the fix is to move
X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gnome-panel-2.0
to the end of the file.
Furthermore, I think that an update that fixes
/usr/share/applications/gnome-panel.desktop
has now been released.
