I concur with Wizard.  Alice is a well respected project.  If you want 
to meet the creator google "the last lecture".  Or give him a watch, 
it's worth the 46 minutes.

Since the file downloaded is 
Alice3-->Beta<--Installer-Online-3.0.0.1.1-linux.sh I am inclined to 
believe you do have a bug, just not a virus.  I am setting up a vbox 
machine, JIC, and will try the file.
