Access to mail yahoo account by the thunderbird

Unless it got changed within the last year,  you had to enable the POP
access first. I have an ancient Yahoo account from yahoo.com and that
doesn't allow POP3 without coughing up the money. UK operation works
w/o a penny paid to an account. Even funnier, on the US site if I
click on the link they supply for the POP3 configuration I get:

We Apologize
The service you are requesting is not currently for sale.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

Yeah... A bit like the message from God written in letters of fire on
the side of the Quentulus Quazgar Mountains...
