True, but non-programmers and newbies in particular are unlikely to make 
heads or tails of a script if they do read it.  I could read a shell 
script and avoid things that look like "mv -T / /dev/null"  but I don't 
know that I would recognize other nefarious commands.  So the questions 
should be, "did the person who recommended this read/use it?" "Do I 
trust that person?"  (Trust as in trust to not screw me over AND trust 
to know what they are doing.)
