Do a scantv -a -c /dev/video0 -C /dev/video0 (or wherever your tv tuner is placed) This solves your problem instantly The scanning process takes an awfull lot of time, but must be done only once. It is thorough and accurate. That's it, just try... and watch...!! P.S.: Type scanTV -? for all available options
