1 - Baloney. Most linux users are open, accomodating and helpful.
There are more elitist Windows snobs that make fun of lusers than
there are linux ones.
Try again.

2 - Who said I thought linux marketshare should be #1? Bug #1 is Mark
Shuttleworths, not mine. What I want from an OS does not include being
the most used.

Trying to please everyone in the end satisfies no-one.  Removing
features is for$%^$ sake REMOVING FEATURES! I think the iPad will be a
wonderful example of a purpose built closed system machine that does
some things very well, very easily and is extremely approachable. If I
desire an iPad, I will purchase one - Apples reputation indicates they
will do an awesome job at that.  If I want an **Operating System**
instead of an appliance, I will continue to use something like linux
which allows a user who is experienced or willing to learn exactly
what *they* want.
