Well, that explains it then. With digest mode you can't keep the 
threading. But that's not a real problem, only a minor inconvenience. :)

The manual I could find doesn't explain what it really does, but from 
the picture of the network configuration I would assume it is working in 
bridge mode (which is what you need).

How about the progress with wireshark? Could you see DHCP packets 
between your laptop on the server?
