Isn't it amazing that there is so much to & fro on that bug? BTW:
standard OOo turned off QS in linux. The go-oo OOo 3.2.0 m12 build (on
which Ubuntu OOo is built) has the check box for QS, you can tick it,
but it doesn't do anything (at least on the 64bit build that I have).
