Not a problem, it was just a reference. It should look something like:
Start or install ubuntu
Start Ubuntu in safe graphics mode
Install with driver update CD
Check CD for defects
Memory Test
Boot from first hard disk
F1 Help F2 Language F3 Keymap F4 VGA F5 Accessibility F6 Other

/If/ you can get to this point then hit:
F6 --> No ACPI
Then click the first option to install Ubuntu.
I don't have it front of me but am pretty sure it's "No ACPI". This
will turn off the power option for boot and may allow your laptop to
boot. When the OS installs then the power software will install more
specific to your machine to manage the battery. This is the best I
understand it with out getting too technical and perhaps some else may
be able to elaborate.
