Upgrading Virtualbox

If you follow Liam's advise you will be downloading and installing the
VirtualBox Personal Use and Evaluation License (PUEL) version _not_ the
OSE version, which is what you said you want.

If your Ubuntu *backport* repositories[1] are up to date, you should
find 'virtualbox-ose' in Synaptic. That version will be
3.2.0-dfsg-1ubuntu1~lucid1. Install it & it should do the necessary bits
to update your VirtualBox. Be sure to also install the updated guest
additions as well.
