         I have 10.04 new load on my laptop and it must have wireless. I 
set up NM and it works but is a pain. When I boot up I have a panel on 
my desktop on top that requires a password. I gave it a simple one 
"karl" and it works. But WICD is head and shoulders better than NM for 
wireless.

They both work fine on wired Internet.
