I agree 100%. But, for the fainthearted, you can then install Kino and
have a nice video editing gui that will save to a list of supported
formats. I use the heck out of it. Especially when some idiot has 15
seconds of screaming gibberish of an intro added to a music video you
wish to save off of youtube. Just edit it out, re-render, then save the
result to your favorite format. Nice. Plus, this one is simple. Ric
