Problems after upgrade from 9.10 to 10.04

And the kernel you are using is karmic:
which uses 2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2.1

You can try backing down to that version, or just fixing your upgrade to
a proper lucid, or doing an inplace reinstall of karmic.
