If only more people thought twice before talking.
My "narrow and comfortable world" is that of a researcher who basically
knows no holidays and is busy 24/7.
What I was saying is that the time you spend *once* learning how to do
things properly is all time (and money) that you will not spend later.
You actually *save time*, a lot of it -only you save it later.
Sure, she can buy her usb adapter, and then come here and email back
next time she will have to cope with the command line. And again and
again and again. Spending lots of time mailing, going through mails,
buying the right piece of hardware etc.
Or she can take an evening to learn how it works, understand that it's
no rocket science, and do it by herself. She will be more skilled, and
she will get results faster.
