Nautilus location bar

It seems that upgrading from 9.10 to 10.04 has changed how you set the
default mode of the location bar. Didn't you used to be able to do it
by Edit-->Preferences-->Behavior-->Always use text entry location bar?

Googling nautilus location bar, the first hit
http://linux.about.com/library/gnome/blgnome6n3c.htm shows that option.
The second hit
http://www.unixmen.com/linux-tutorials/993-use-a-text-mode-location-bar-in-nautilus-230-by-default-ubuntu-1004-lucid-lynx
shows how to do it from the terminal, but I don't recall ever doing that.

I wonder why it changed?

Regards, Jim
