Problems after upgrade from 9.10 to 10.04

Hi,

I upgraded my laptop from 9.10 to 10.04 with the update manager but at 
boot time with the 2.6.32-23-generic or 2.6.32-24-generic kernel the 
system crash, I have to boot with the 2.6.31-22-generic but now the 
compiz setup doesn't work anymore as well the advanced graphics mode.

Before upgrade compiz worked fine !?
