The author of that states:

blacklist nvidiafb
blacklist rivatv

I guess he's never bothered to look at:

$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-framebuffer.conf
which includes:
blacklist rivafb
blacklist nvidiafb

and

$ cat nvidia-graphics-drivers.conf
blacklist nouveau
blacklist lbm-nouveau
blacklist nvidia-current
blacklist nvidia-173
[Note: the last two are due to my using nvidia-96]
