Ubuntu update manager fails. help!!!!

Are you having other network-related problems? Can you can go online
for email, can browse the web, etc.? It could perhaps be a glitch at
us.archive.ubuntu.com. Start with something simple like a reboot to
see if the problem persits. If it does, try changing your "Software
Sources" to use another mirrored repository. Find one close to you,
reload the packages info and see what happens.
