How to check which security update?

He said Ubuntu Server. That means no GUI and no menus.

Myself, I'd do

sudo -s
apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade

It will stop and ask for permission before it does anything. At this
point, it shows what the packages to be upgraded are.
