Looks like I spoke too soon. I can open a stream, play it, save it to a
playlist file but if I reboot or shut down, the file is still there when
I wake the machine up but the contents are gone. The file isn't empty as
there remains over 1 Kb of content. I assume it's some overhead stuff. 
I'll start researching this when I get some time but, until then, if 
anyone has any insight into this I would like to hear it.
