Installed Chrome on Lucid

It would be really helpful if you explained how you installed Google
Chrome.

As an alternative install Chromium (it's essentially the same browser)
using apt-get:

$ sudo apt-get install chromium

See http://code.google.com/p/chromium/wiki/ChromiumBrowserVsGoogleChrome
for the differences. BTW, I hear that Chromium is the default browser
for Ubuntu Netbook Edition 10.10.
