Fwd: Could not mount ntfs partition in Ubuntu 9.10

Hi Putu and All,

I think the problem may be due to some errors in my Ubuntu 9.10 Desktop
CD. I have just downloaded Ubuntu 8.04.4 Desktop CD and booted up my system
from this CD. The Ubuntu 8.04.4 system could recognize all my internal and
removable partitions now.

However, I find it difficult to download an "error-free" Ubuntu 9.10
Desktop CD from the Official Ubuntu website. I had downloaded at least 4
times this 9.10 CD from different locations in the Ubuntu download site, but
do not get even one "error-free" Ubuntu 9.10 CD !

     Anyway, thanks.

Regards
Lawrence

In addition, the "mount" command output in root terminal is :

root at ubuntu:/dev#

The booted Ubuntu 9.10 CD could see and use the removeable sdg1 and
sdh5 USB partitions, but not the partitions in the sda and sdb internal
drives.

     Any idea ?

Regards
Lawrence
