wanted help in installing

Respected Sir/Madam,

I have ubuntu 8 ver, after connecting to net, I updated it
and there is some other similar option show on the root screen.
Now I want to delete all old versions of UBUNTU and
upload the new 9.2 ver from your bootable CD
but the question is that how can I install new version manually
because on my PC, there are 2 OS installed.
1. ubuntu
2. Window xp
Now, help me to show the right code to install ubuntu manually
because I am not willing to lose my window to reload ubuntu.

SO,KINDLY HELP ME OR SEND ME THE CODE OF ACTIONS
WHICH I HAVE TO TAKE TO RELOAD OR TO LOAD 9 VER.,
It is REALLY URGENT.
