1080p Playback

Right, this evening I have downloaded and compiled mPlayer from the
SVN and also installed SMPlayer from the repos and this has fixed all
my problems! It needs a little tweaking which I am doing now but on
the whole its pretty much done.

The problems I was facing before was that despite selecting VDPAU from
within mPlayer it wasn't putting that much of the decoding work load
onto the graphics card but now it clearly is and I am as I said
working my way through the other options from within SMPlayer which is
solving my problems just great. However, one film I am trying to watch
still isn't perfect in Ubuntu but it is in Windows however I think its
early days for the VDPAU support and its only one film.

and it proved very useful in me reaching my goal.
