to download ubuntu!

Dear pals,
                    i'm from chennai, India.  when  try to download ubunto
for my new laptop, it asks for location.  fortunately, india is not listed
there. so, cud u please help us in this regard,  to download ubuntu online.

i'm into business development, and my needs are like browsing the internet,
to facebook, youtube, and to create sales presentation, to develop word
documents, xl sheets, and to convert pdf.  also, i'm using filezilla for a
rare ftp activities.  shall i b able to use filezilla in ubuntu?  what are
all the best tools to be installed for my newly bought laptop.  the laptop
doesn't have any cd drive.  so, cud u b able to help us by giving the
suggestions.
