GMail labels do not show

Hi All,

I am trying to get to grips with gmail and started exploring what labels can
do for organizing my mails.
On my desktop PC's browser, I cannot see the coloured labels I created,
while on my android phone's browser, the labels are present. I would like to
see them also on the desktop but cannot find the correct way to do it?
