Package removal?

I would keep Thunderbird 2 for now as Thunderbird 3 is only a Release
Candidate.
It some times pays to run 'apt-get dist-upgrade' in when packages are held
back as something might require deleting and Synaptic uses safe-upgrade
normally (you can alter this in preferences) and won’t delete packages
when updating.
