Switching a friend to Ubuntu

Just out of curiosity, I'd like to know what happened, ad I've recently
been considering using Mint, but I dont want to get involved with a
community that likes to ostracize users (thats what MS is for). If you'd
prefer, you can email me off-list to continue that particular
discussion... and if you don't want to, that's also fine. Let me know.
