Works here with:
Shockwave Flash

    File name: /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so
    Shockwave Flash 10.0 r42

Perhaps you need to: 1) tell us exactly which browser you are using
(Help|About in most will tell you), 2) if you are using SeaMonkey or
Firefox check about:plugins (from the url bar) and tell us what that
shows for flash.
