I have a similar set up, just with an Acer, and it works fine for me.  
Wireless tends to be the tricky part so make sure you build with a wired 
connection (even if the live cd shows your wireless).  Another 
suggestion is to get a spare hdd if you can swing it.  Swap out the 
factory hdd, so /if/ it doesn't work out you can put it back in and 
return it within the 30 days if you get that guaranty.  Good luck, hope
