Hi to you to,
Have a brand new X66ICseries laptop, dual boot Windows seven pro and
karmic 9.10 (both 64 bits).
If you compare the data sheets, it could give you an idea as to what
will work or not with Karmic.
Everything works perfectly for me in both OS's. As sold, X66ICseries has
a 320Gb HD with hidden fat32 recovery partition.
Karmic grub2 then gave that hidden partition an entry to boot Windows
Vista (I survived the shock), as well as the normal
entries for karmic and windows seven boot-loader. I am not yet familiar
with handling grub2 menus.
I installed a new 500Gb and windows seven pro then dual boot with
Karmic. 320Gb has gone into an external usb
housing from where I will attempt to clone the hidden partition for
future use (using an old small 2.5" IDE hd).
Hip, hip, hip, Hurrah.
David
