Which Intel Processor you are using?
Intel has 2 kind of 64 bit architecture :
a. the original Intel IA-64 (Itanium)
then since it did not get accepted nicely in mass market, later on they
licensed the code from AMD, thus the
b. AMD64 or generically called x86-64
Most likely the consumer market are populated with the Intel processor
with AMD64/x86-64 compatible. Thus the same media or kernel version for
AMD 64 bit will also works with the Intel x86-64.
