Under System -> Preferences -> Mouse, in the Accessibility tab, is an
option to "Simulate secondary click by holding down mouse button". I
don't know if this "secondary click is equal to a double click or a
right click or something else, as I haven't tried it.
Alternatively, the "Dwell Click" applet can be configured to generate
double-clicks.
