	You may need to repost this again too. And tell us which 
CD/DVD drive has what problem. If I understand the drive works 
fine if only windows are on your notebook.

	But it appears the design of the notebook is such that the 
CD/DVD drive within the notebook works only when some special 
factor of windows is present. This can happen. Putting Grub in 
front of windows ruins this, or appears to.
