If you are definatly sure that you want to do away with Windows then
it would be best to completly delete all of the existing partitions
and recreate them as you want.
The Ubuntu GUI tool is simple to use.
I don't know if people still have seperate partitions for /usr,
/user/local and /var but as a minimum I would have seperate partitions
for swap and /home.
