Maybe it's like throwing a hand full of darts at a target?  Eventually
ONE of them has to hit...

But seconding the suggestion for specific lists like ext3-users.

I think someone told the OP to sub to the LKML... heh... that's a
nightmare list.  I used to read that one, but at several hundred
postings per day, it was impossible to keep up with (though I must
admit, LKML flame wars are epic).
