     4 points of failure here.

1: This presumes people are using local delivery for filtering. The default
MUA installed in Ubuntu, Evolution, has no such requirement and thus has no
need of procmail.

2: That those people using local delivery have installed an MTA which requires
an MDA. Not all MTAs do. In fact the MTA I use for over a decade which does
do filtering does not require an MDA, let alone the bastardization known as
procmail.

3: That given the above two procmail is even installed. To wit:
{grey at mania:~} man procmailrc
No manual entry for procmailrc

4: That any of this is relevant to the question I asked. I asked,
specifically, how one gets unsubscribed from a CC list. I did not ask how one
filters unwanted CCs from a list. There's a reason for this not-so-subtle
distinction. Filtering happens AFTER THE MESSAGE HAS BEEN RECEIVED while
unsubscribing PREVENTS DELIVERY FROM EVEN HAPPENING. On a rate limited line
the two are not equivalent.

So exactly what point were you trying to make by directing me to the man
page of a piece of software that isn't installed, doesn't need to be installed
on multiple levels nor addresses the point I made?
