GoHome Applet misbehaving

The GoHome Applet in 9.1 remix returns you to the main screen.  In
this new installation it does that but also shut down whatever
application is up.  Also none of the applications show the 'x' close
button on top like they should and also right clicking does not allow
you to minimize or maximize the application.

Any way to get this working right?
