That is unfortunate, but so long as it covers your needs sufficiently,
then it's probably for the best.
To speed things up for windows though, you might want to look into
'optimizing' XP to use less resources, so it runs smoother. This guide
is a decent walk-through on some common tweaks to make:

No-one suggested downloading an illegal copy of windows from China. What
WAS suggested was a Chinese Linux distro based on Ubuntu 9.10, with a
winXP look-alike interface, from here: http://www.ylmf.org/en/index.html
Nothing illegal about it.
