Standard Driver or Manufacturer's?

If it works, don't break it.
Read the documentation of the manufacturer's driver. If there is no
documentation, don't use the driver. If the documentation is too
complicated, don't use the driver.
Also check if the driver is compatible with your kernel (uname -r)
