Ubuntu Laptop System

I have finally committed to buying a notebook computer. My criteria is
that the system MUST run Ubuntu "out of the box". I prefer Ubuntu 9.10,
but would settle for 9.04. It must also run Windows (temporarily). I
will want to delete Windows 7 and dedicate the full disk to Ubuntu in
the near future. I also currently have a wireless-n router(linksys)
with three systems running Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10. The notebook MUST run
with the Linksys router.

Any suggestions as to what Notebook computer would be most appropriate
would be greatly appreciated.

I have considered purchasing a System76, Inc. or Linus Certified, Inc.
computer and temporarily adding Windows XP. System76 provides
instructions for, (but doesn't encourage), adding Windows to one of
their systems. Would that be my best option?

I have researched notebooks for a couple of days and have been unable to
arrive at any solid conclusions.

Thanks in advance,
John
