Dell PowerEdge 2650 - installs but won't boot

Someone donated a Dell PowerEdge 2650 server to our school and I'm  
trying to install ubuntu on it. (Actually installing ebox 1.4).

It seems to install ok, but hangs at boot with a variety of scsi- 
related errors. I'm guessing this means the RAID is not supported, or  
else I did something wrong. (I chose to format using LVM, with default  
settings).

Anyone run across something similar?
